Punt, pass, kick competition coming soon

Attention all youth seeking future gridiron glory: the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition is coming to the Conejo Valley this fall, with three opportunities to compete.

The Conejo Recreation & Park District (CRPD) Sports Office invites boys and girls ages 8 through 15 to participate in the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., Sept. 20 on the football fields at Redwood Intermediate School, 233 W. Gainsborough Road, Thousand Oaks. Registration will be conducted on-site.

The competition allows youth to showcase their talents in punting, passing and placekicking with scores based on distance and accuracy. The top finishers from each of eight age groups at the local competition will advance to a sectional competition.

The competition (open to the same age group) moves to Westlake Village and Agoura Hills respectively on Sun., Oct. 5, with competitions staged from 10 a.m. to noon at Berniece Bennett Park and from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in the football stadium at Agoura High School.
