Bat Mitzvah Club offers unique experience

The Bat Mitzvah Club is described as a one-of-a-kind group for girls that provides an opportunity for young women to join together and explore their uniqueness as Jewish women reaching this important milestone in their lives. In addition to examining the significance of the Bat Mitzvah, the girls also participate in social activities, craft projects and community Mitzvah projects.

Tovi Bistritzky has headed the local program for three years. Before that she’d been teaching Bat Mitzvah girls on a one-to-one basis for nearly a decade.

The Bat Mitzvah Club is offered through the Ina Levine and Samuel Neustadt Chai Center for Teens and is open to all Jewish girls regardless of affiliation or background. Classes will begin on Wed., Sept. 17 and enrollment is limited.
