Agoura high grad mixes science with law
Tenaya Rodewald
Tenaya Rodewald, daughter of Jill and Richard Rodewald of Agoura Hills, recently received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego.
Her doctoral research, in the area of learning and memory, was conducted at the Scripps Institute in La Jolla and was supported by a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Foundation.
Rodewald attended Lindero Canyon Middle School and Agoura High School. She left Agoura High School after her junior year to attend the University of California Berkeley, where she graduated in 1997 with a major in cognitive science.
At the end of this month Rodewald will be moving to New York to study law. She was awarded an academic scholarship by NYU Law School and hopes to integrate her scientific knowledge with contemporary legal issues of importance to American society.
