Security in Calabasas to be topic of meeting next Monday

Calabasas City Councilwoman Lesley Devine and Community Policing Commissioner Ron Stillman have made arrangements for the city’s first workshop on "Safety and Security in Public Places."

It will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. next Mon., Aug. 18 at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, 27040 Malibu Hills Road, Calabasas.

Residents, security experts, emergency response team members and others will discuss public safety in local parks, the library, city hall and other places wherever people congregate. Citizens, commissioners and professionals are invited to participate and hear about or discuss their concerns and ideas. Policing commissioner Gary Auer is also scheduled to participate.

The goal is to make Calabasas the safest city in America.
