Camp Keshet to add exciting, unusual activities for kids

Shomrei Torah Synagogue has announced that there will be two more exciting and unusual activities for children ages two to six years at the organization’s Camp Keshet (Hebrew for "rainbow") summer camp.

From 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wed., Aug. 6, the Animal Guys will arrive to present their show to the children.

Following the show, the campers will interact with the friendly visitors, petting them and introducing themselves. It will be an opportunity for the kids to see some nocturnal and forest creatures many may have only seen before in books.

From 10 to 11 .m. on Wed., Aug. 13, Bubblemania will arrive at Camp Keshet where an "official bubbleologist" will present an amazing display of shimmer waves of bubbles. Multi-colored bubbles in shapes of cubes, spheres and even pyramids will entertain the kids as they explore science in this unique way. The grand finale will include the kids actually being encapsulated by giant bubbles.

Shomrei Torah is located on 16 scenic acres along the Valley Circle corridor at 7353 Valley Circle Blvd., West Hills. For information, please call Pam Ranta, the early childhood education director, at (818) 346-0811.
