At Pointed Oak Place and Deep Shadow, a vehicle was keyed ($500 damage) on July 19 or 20. The victim said similar incidents have previously occurred.

Agoura Hills

The total loss was $330 after an SUV was broken into (window smashed) in a hotel parking lot in the 30100 block of Agoura Road between 11:30 p.m. July 17 and 10:15 a.m. July 18. A video camera was stolen.

A vandal threw a water balloon at a home and broke a window on Forest Cove Lane. The incident ($200 loss) occurred at 10 p.m. July 18.

Calabasas

Boxes were either stolen while they were being transferred from Malibu or they were stolen from a storage facility in Calabasas between Oct. 9 and April 25. The boxes contained possessions worth between $13,000 and $15,000, according to the victim. The incident was only recently reported for insurance purposes.

A wallet and cash were stolen ($800 loss) from the back area of a business in the 26500 block of Agoura Road between 9 and 10:30 a.m. July 21.

Vandal(s) struck with graffiti at Grape Arbor Park between July 18 and 21. Damages to interior walls of a men’s restroom were $300.

A cell phone was stolen ($100 loss) on Poppyseed Place sometime after May 4, the last date the victim saw it. The victim kept the phone just for emergencies in the glove box of a car, and hadn’t missed it until noticing that $3,400 worth of calls were made, starting on May 27—which was probably the date that the phone was stolen.

Oak Park

The night of July 16, a home was extensively vandalized with toilet paper, napkins, eggs, catsup, mustard, yogurt and toothpaste. It took three hours to clean up and the incident occurred in the 6400 block of Smoketree.

Westlake/T.O.

The total loss was $2,590 when someone broke into a business and stole a laptop computer and a microwave oven between 6 p.m. July 18 and 6:30 a.m. July 21 in the 4500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 21 in the 900 block of Hampshire Road, 50 music CDs and a check register were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The loot was valued at $250. In a second incident, the damages were $75 after another vehicle was broken into and three music CDs.

Someone used another person’s personal identity information to obtain credit between 1 and 4 p.m. July 23 in the 2000 block of Rolling Oak Road.

At 10:35 p.m. July 21 at Westlake Boulevard and the 101 Freeway, someone was arrested for public intoxication.
