School has new principal

Rabbi David J. Lamm has been named principal of the Conejo Jewish Day School in Agoura Hills. He will be working with Rabbi Moshe Bryski, executive director of Chabad of the Conejo, who serves as the school’s dean.

Rabbi Lamm’s appointment is "an extension of his lifetime of service" to the Jewish community.

He served as Judaic director of El Paso Jewish Academy in El Paso, Tex.; principal of Hillel Academy of Dayton, Ohio; and co-director of the Jewish Community Center of Palm Springs. Additionally, he has served as Cantor, music teacher and orchestra leader of "The David Lamm Orchestra."

Now in its third year of operation, the Conejo Jewish Day School, located at 29646 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, serves students in grades K through 5.

The school welcomes families "from across the spectrum of Jewish observance" and invites the community to join them as they kick off the school year with a barbecue from 5 to 7 p.m. Sun., Aug. 24 at Oak Canyon Park, at the corner of Kanan Road and Hollytree Drive in Oak Park.
