Kids at Botanic Gardens to construct terrariums

The Kids’ Adventure Garden of the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden will host a terrarium-making class open to ages 4 through 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun., July 27 at the garden located on the grounds of the Conejo Valley Botanic Garden, 350 Gainsbor-ough Road, Thousand Oaks.

Children should bring a clean quart size jar with the labels removed; other supplies will be provided. Th cost is $5 and reservations are required by calling (805) 374-8255.

A plant sale will also be held at the Kids’ Adventure Garden.

The Kids’ Adventure Garden is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday and provides "an exciting place" for children to learn about nature and gardening.

The garden features a tree house, hydroponics greenhouse, dinosaur garden, zoo garden and pollinator gardens. Docents are available.
