OPHS sophomore selected to attend student leadership conference on medicine

Gabriel Lipson, 16, Class of 2005 at Oak Park High School, has been selected to participate in the National Student Leadership Conference on Medicine and Healthcare this summer.

During the conference, students will attend special workshops and classes where they will study the "distinctions of leadership." They will hear from many guest speakers from the fields of government as well as surgeons, medical researchers and others.

The goal of the leadership development program is to have students develop their abilities to think on their feet, to engage in critical analysis and to learn how to communicate effectively.
