Popular camp counselor back at the ‘Y’

Sandi Miles, who motivated the tiniest campers at Triunfo YMCA’s summer camps and childcare program from 1994 until the summer of 2001 has rejoined the Y after a brief retirement to her native Georgia. She and her staff lead Sunshine Camp for 5-year-olds.

Camp will include trips to the Santa Barbara Zoo, Long Beach Aquarium, Fillmore Railroad, Ventura Harbor and carousel and many other destinations.

Activities will include water play, arts and crafts and trips to the park in the company of trained staff.

To be eligible for camp, children must be entering kindergarten this fall. Miles will interview any child slightly younger or older than 5 years of age before the child is allowed to register for Sunshine Camp, which will launch from Willow Elementary School, Agoura Hills.
