AHS student wins music contest scholarship
Sandefur plays saxophone
Matthew Sandefur, a saxophone soloist in the 10th grade at Agoura High School, won the Category III "Jazz Soloist Keyboard and Instrumental" award in the Valley Cultural Center’s 2003 Music Competition for junior high and high school music students ages 12 to 18. He received $925 matched by a scholarship to Idyllwild Summer School of Music & the Arts for a total value of $1,850. Sandefur and other winners were honored on stage at Warner Park in Woodland Hills recently, where he performed his winning selection. |
