Guiliani named to Reagan Library Board of Trustees The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation has announced that Rudolph Giuliani will join the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. "We are privileged to have Rudy join the Ronald Reagan Library Foundation’s Board of Trustees," said former First Lady Nancy Reagan. "His leadership and character will be an asset to the board and will help continue to preserve my husband’s legacy." During two terms as mayor of New York, Giuliani is credited with reducing crime by 57 percent, cutting welfare rolls in half, reducing taxes by $2.5 billion and creating a record number of new jobs. Giuliani was named Time magazine’s 2001 Person of the Year and was awarded the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award in March, 2002 in recognition of his distinguished service to the city of New York and the nation. |
