Volunteers sought for Calabasas youth basketball

The city of Calabasas is looking for volunteers to help with its All Starz Basketball League program. Program participants are taught ball-handling skills, rules and how to compete on a team.

Volunteers need no previous basketball experience or special training. The goal for each volunteer and participant is to experience positive recreation and socialize with the youth, according to city officials.

The league will play games from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, March through Nov., at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, 27040 Malibu Hills Road, Calabasas. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to call the Community Services Dept. at De Anza Park at (818) 880-6461.
