Keep Lee and Washburn, no on A If you like living in Calabasas, like the rural atmosphere, the open space and the opportunities for family recreation, you should vote for Janice Lee, Dennis Washburn and against Measure A.

Both candidates have been working for many years to make Calabasas the fine city it is today. They offer a record of accomplishments; they will continue to protect our environment and oppose Ahmanson City.

About a year ago when the proposed widening of Las Virgenes Road would have taken more than two dozen very large and old pepper trees from in front of our house, Lee, Washburn and James Bozajian came to our rescue. They said, "Build the road but save the trees." We have a city government that is accessible and will listen to its citizens. Please keep it that way.

Measure A will reduce the city income by about 18 percent. You can’t make those kind of cut in revenues without a major cut in city services. Keep Calabasas the great city it is. Vote for Washburn and Lee and against Measure A.
