SCORE offers workshops to assist small business owners

The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) will present a series of six workshops for present and potential small business owners and managers, addressing a variety of issues of importance to business success. All workshops are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays at Oxnard College.

The subjects will be:

Starting and Operating a New Business (March 8); Developing and Preparing a Business Plan (March 22); Financial Management (April 5); Marketing: The Heart of Every Business (April 26); Secrets of a Successful Entrepreneur (May 10); Tax Information and Government Regulations (May 31).

The cost for the entire series is $100 or $25 per individual session, except for the May 31 session, which is free on a space-available basis. For details or to make reservations, please call (805) 986-5831.
