Kindergarten, new student registration ready to start in Oak Park Unified

Here’s the schedule for kindergarten/new student registration for Oak Park Unified School District:

For Red Oak Elementary School:

Mon., March 24 and Tues., March 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for students entering school who currently have a sibling attending Red Oak.

For Brookside and Oak Hills elementary schools:

Tues., March 25from 1 to 4 p.m. for students entering school who currently have a sibling attending the elementary school.

For Brookside, Oak Hills, and Red Oak elementary schools:

Wed., March 26 and Thurs., March 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. for kindergarten and all new students entering school in Oak Park Unified School District.

To be eligible for kindergarten this September, a child must turn 5 years old on or before Dec. 2 of this year. At the time of registration the following documentation is required:

Proof of residency (including the following three items):

1. a rental agreement, escrow papers or tax bill

2. a California driver’s license or car insurance

3. a utility bill (not telephone)

Complete immunization record, stamped or signed by physician. (Please bring copy to be retained by the school).

The child’s Social Security Number

Address of former school

For kindergarten only, the original county registered birth certificate (and copy to be retained by the school)

Children need not be present to register.
