Pack No. 227 celebrates

Cub Scout Pack 227 of Agoura Hills will host its annual Blue and Gold Banquet to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America and the 73rd anniversary of Cub Scouting. This year’s theme is "California Dreaming—A Celebration of Our State’s Natural Wonders and National Parks."

In addition to viewing displays made by scouts, those attending will be entertained by magician and The Magic Castle member, Alfonso.

This banquet is at 6 p.m. Fri., Feb. 21 at Willow Elementary School, Agoura Hills. It’s being planned by Blue and Gold Committee Chair Jodi Regan.

According to Regan, the boys and families of Pack 227 are proud of Cub Scouting and what it offers. The program is rich and full of varied and exciting activities, all of which will have an impact on growth and development.

Scouting’s ultimate objectives are citizenship training, character development and personal fitness. Emphasis is not on winning as an end result, but on the far more demanding task of "doing one’s best."
