De Anza event is on Saturday To mark the 227th year anniversary of the Anza Expedition’s journey through the Las Virgenes Valley, the cast of the Anza en Calabasas Pageant will celebrate from 2 to 3 p.m. Sat., Feb. 22 at Juan Bautista de Anza Park and Community Center, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas. The event will feature a flag salute, music and entertainment by Rattlin’ Ralph Lee Moss, Spanish dancing by Ana-Lupe Morado, and original oil paintings of the historic expedition by local artist Carlos LaCamara. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. The event is hosted by the Calabasas Ana Heritage Association and sponsored by the city of Calabasas, the Calabasas Historical Society and patrons from the local community.
