Gala is tomorrow night at Reagan Library

The Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce will host its annual gala celebration and recognition dinner/dance beginning at 6 p.m. Fri., Feb. 21 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

The event, "A Night in Casablanca," will honor outstanding members of the community. Awards to be presented include "Business of the Year," "Man and Woman of the Year," "Corporate Sponsor of the Year," "Volunteer of the Year," "Teacher of the Year" (from both the CVUSD and LVUSD) and "Ambassador of the Year."

In a departure from tradition, the Chamber announced the following winners prior to the event: Westlake Village City Councilmember Betty De Santis has been selected as the 2002 Woman of the Year and Harry Selvin of Selvin Properties in Westlake Village as Man of the Year; Blue Cross has been recognized as the 2002 Business of the Year and State Farm in Westlake Village as 2002 Corporate Sponsor of the Year.

Among the evening’s highlights are cocktails, a silent auction and tours of the library. Dinner and entertainment get underway at 7 p.m. with the awards presentation and dancing to follow. The cost is $95. For more information, please call (805) 370-0035.
