Challengers look good

Challengers look good

Who needs reality TV when you have the Calabasas City Council direct on CTV (local access station)? The fighting, disrespect and just plain rudeness have reached the ridiculous.

The meeting on Jan. 22 turned into farcical comedy as the meeting went almost to midnight and the councilmembers got more belligerent as the night wore on.

While it is very humorous for us TV viewers, at the same time it is sad for the city of Calabasas.

It is time to start cleaning house with the upcoming elections. It is time to start voting out incumbents and bringing in new blood.

Janice Lee and Dennis Washburn must go.

Lee has nothing but contempt for her fellow councilmembers and it clearly shows. I thank Washburn for his many years of service to the city of Calabasas, but his extremism on environmental issues is over the top. And this view comes from a person who loves this area and its beautiful mountains as much as anyone, hiking and biking several times a week.

This March 4 get out and vote, and please give the new challengers a chance.

Attend a debate, read their election material, be informed.
