‘Self Defense for Kids’ class offered
Starts next month
Parents can help their children get in shape and learn how to be safe from abduction through the "Self Defense for Kids" class offered by the Conejo Valley Adult School (CVAS) from 5 to 6 p.m. Fridays and from noon to 1 p.m. Saturdays beginning Fri., Feb. 7 at Tang Soo Do Emporium, 1865 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. The class runs for eight sessions each on Friday and Saturdays for an $80 fee. According to CVAS, children will learn what an abductor is looking for, what makes someone an easy target and how to be assertive and ways to escape. For more information, call (805) 497-2761. |
