Students raise money for family

FUND FOR THE FAMILY--Temple Beth Haverim seventh-graders collected money weekly since September for the Shamash Project, a fundraising project that helped a family in need. Barbara Brooks, far right, third row, represents the Shamash Project for Jewish Family Services of Ventura County and presented the class with a document for their contribution. The kids raised enough money to provide a family in need with Hanukkah gifts including clothing, gift certificates and toys.
