The guided tour gets underway at 10 a.m. and runs for about two hours and 15 minutes. Bruce Frederickson of the Calabasas Historical Society is organizer of the tour.

According to the Website, the Nethercutt Collection is "a unique and beautifully appointed exhibit facility located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Sylmar.

Among the treasures on display are one of the world’s most outstanding collections of beautifully restored antique, classic and special interest automobiles. They are showcased in an exquisite recreation of an opulent automotive Grand Salon of the 1920s and 1930s, with marble floors and columns, crystal chandeliers and mirrored walls.

An amazing collection of automobile mascots and hood ornaments is on display on the mezzanine level above the Grand Salon."

Also to be visited is the recently-opened Nethercutt Museum, a brand new 60,000 sq.ft. complementary structure that displays for enthusiasts more than 100 of the world’s greatest antique, classic and special interest automobiles. Each car has been restored to its original elegance. The facility doesn’t admit children under 12 years of age, and its dress code bans jeans and shorts. The Website is at www.nethercuttcollection.org.
