LCMS presents winter concert series

The Lindero Canyon Middle School (LCMS) Music Department will present its annual Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tues., Wed., Thurs., Dec. 17 to 19, in the Steven Capretta Memorial Gymnasium on the campus at 5844 N. Larboard Lane, Agoura Hills.

Cougar Chorus, Concert Choir and String Orchestra will perform the first evening. In addition, two specialty groups will perform, Fiddlers Philharmonic and the Show Choir.

Wednesday evening will feature the 130-member intermediate Cougar Band and Jazz Band "B" as well as Brass Ensemble and Intermediate Percussion Ensemble. Guest conductors for the evening are professionals Matt Finders leading Jazz Band "B" and Evan Diner directing the Percussion Ensemble.

On Thursday night, the advanced Concert Band and Jazz Band "A" will perform, along with a Flute Choir and French Horn Quartet.

Students will perform a mix of seasonal favorites and classics. The bands are under the direction of Matt McKagan, and the choral and string groups are led by Becky Duke.
