Horses have wish lists, too

The horses being sheltered and cared for at California Coastal Horse Rescue in Oak View "have made up their holiday gift wish list," according to their human handlers, asking for such items as: greatly-needed bags of hay pellets; packaged horse cookies and treats; hoof picks; grooming brushes; equine supplements; and a golf cart to transport hay.

To donate one of these desired items or to make a cash gift to help Ventura County horses that have been abandoned, neglected or displaced, please call (805) 641-0247. Almost 150 horses in need were assisted this year. Cal Coastal is a nonprofit equine rescue and adoption service.
