A burglar stole cigarettes and cash ($3,300 loss) from a gasoline station at 4:47 a.m. Oct. 15 in the 1500 block of Chesebro Road. The suspect also caused $10,100 damages to a cash register and glass cabinet. A suspect description was provided by two witnesses, but later (upon reviewing the videotape of a surveillance camera), authorities decided that the description was unreliable. Three white males (18-22) stole two pocket bicycles ($2,800 loss) from a business in the 28700 block of Canwood Street at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 15. The suspects stole the bikes after distracting a store worker and they drove away in a Honda. Cash—$2,000—was stolen from a desk drawer at a business in the 28700 block of Roadside Drive between Oct. 11 and 14. No signs of forced entry were observed. A car window had $300 damage and carrying cases, a personal organizer and medical accessories were stolen (a loss of $1,220). The break-in occurred during daytime on Oct. 15 in the 30100 block of Agoura Road. The loss was $1,500 after a Mercedes had vandalism damages (scratches to doors and a broken hood ornament) between 11 a.m. and noon Oct. 11 in the 28700 block of Roadside Drive. Music CDs and an in-dash stereo faceplate totaling a loss of $950 were stolen from a vehicle that was parked near Thousand Oaks Boulevard between 6 and 6:20 p.m. Oct. 10. Damages were $650 to a door and plaster, and $150 worth of lottery tickets were stolen after a burglar alarm activated at a business in the 30300 block of Canwood Street at 5:50 a.m. Oct. 8. A home was vandalized ($590 loss) in the 5800 block of Lake Lindero Drive on Oct. 14 or 15. Walls, fences, posts and windows had been spray painted and potted plants had been uprooted and thrown around. A possible suspect was named. A vehicle trunk had $500 damage and a Subaru trunk ornament was stolen ($50 loss) on Conejo View Drive on Oct. 14 or 15. A business door had $200 damage in the 28900 block of Roadside Drive after a break-in at 5:33 a.m. Oct. 17. An undetermined amount of cash was also stolen. Calabasas A BMW was vandalized with deep scratches ($2,500 damage) between 6:20 and 6:35 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 4700 block of Park Granada. A bike chain was cut and a $1,200 mountain bicycle was stolen between Oct. 7 and 10 from a carport in the 5800 block of Las Virgenes Road. A door to a Mercedes was "keyed" ($600 damage) in a Park Capri parking area on Oct. 11 or 12. A Nissan Altima’s window had $100 damage and a backpack, textbooks and notebooks were stolen (a loss of $225). The vehicle break-in occurred between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 12 and 1:49 a.m. Oct. 13 in the 4000 block of Calabasas Road. A car window was broken in the 23600 block of Calabasas Road between 8 and 9:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and a portable CD player and a lunch bag were stolen. Total loss: $230. A window screen had $50 damage and a DVD player valued at $150 was stolen from an apartment in the 5900 block of Las Virgenes Road between Sept. 17 and 20. Bedrooms were also ransacked. Hidden Hills The loss was $2,450 after a kitchen cabinet and drawers were stolen from the kitchen of a newly purchased, unoccupied home on Kit Carson Road between Sept. 30 and Oct. 10. Westlake/T.O. Between 4:20 and 5:10 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 3100 block of Willow Lane, a car window was shattered and three brief cases, four personal checks, posters and promotional items totaling a loss of $100 were stolen. Westlake Village No signs of forced entry were observed in the theft of compact discs and vehicle stereo equipment. The $1,730 loss occurred in a shopping center parking lot in the 5700 block of Lindero Canyon Road between 5 and 8 p.m. Oct. 10. A Honda Civic’s dashboard had $350 damage and an in-dash stereo and CDs were stolen ($913 total loss) between 3 and 9:15 p.m. the same day in the same vicinity. Two park benches valued at $1,800 were stolen from a Charthouse Circle yard on Oct. 10 or 11. It would have taken two suspects to haul them away, a source said. The loss was $595 after a storage bin at a business was damaged and children’s building blocks and art supplies were stolen from the 31700 block of Village School Road between Oct. 11 and 14. No signs of forced entry were noted in the theft of a purse, cash, credit cards, a cell phone and a wallet. The items were taken from a vehicle in a parking lot in the 4800 block of Lakeview Canyon Road between 2 and 3 p.m. Oct. 9 and the loss was $555. A business window was smashed ($200 loss) in the 32100 block of Lindero Canyon Road on Oct. 15. Unknown suspect(s) unsuccessfully tried to break into a business in the 30800 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard the night of Oct. 15. Police RSS feed |
