At least one Ahmanson critic makes sense
     There were several letters opposing the Ahmanson Ranch development in the Oct. 10 Acorn. Most contained the unsubstantiated autonomic rhetoric that has been typical of this genre, with the noteworthy exception of one from James Garafalo in response to a recent editorial.

     Many thanks to Fran Pavley for her hard work to have the Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon Road officially proclaimed a Scenic Highway. For my dad and me, the dedication on Thurs., Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. brought back a lifetime of memories.
