Status of Chinese women explored

The status of women in China will be discussed during a lecture by Cal State University Northridge political science professor Jane Bayes from 10 a.m. to noon Wed., Oct. 30 in conference room 1214 of the Education Building on the west side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.

The public is invited to join Bayes as she talks about her recent trip to China where she met with women leaders and scholars to explore the current status of women in Chinese society.

Bayes traveled to several regions. During her lecture, Bayes will share her impressions of Chinese women and compare their status with that of women in American societies. For details, please call Justine Su at (818) 677-2138.
