Golf tournament planned for OPHS

The third annual Oak Park High School "Shootout at Sunset Hills" golf tournament benefiting Oak Park High School athletics, is set for 12:30 p.m. on Mon., Oct. 28 at Sunset Hills in Thousand Oaks.

Local participants are encouraged.

Prices have remained the same at $175 per person, which includes golf, a barbecue lunch, dinner and tee prizes.

Mulligan packages also are available. The $25 mulligan package includes two mulligans, entrance into the putting contest, and guess-your-distance competition.

This year, each player will receive a black and gold duffel bag filled with golf balls, tees and other nice gifts.

A 2003 Mercedes from Silver Star Mercedes Benz in Thousand Oaks will be awarded for any hole-in-one on No. 9. Other prizes will be awarded for closest-to-the-pin(s) and longest drive.

Tee sponsorships also are available at $100.

The Oak Park High School Athletic Booster Club has raised money in the past for uniforms, lights, scoreboards, storage bins, fitness equipment and scholarships.
