Taco Bell promotion to help area youth Taco Bell restaurants of Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village are sponsoring "Bells for Kids" programs this fall to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo and Las Virgenes’ new club building fund. Each of the participating restaurants is selling paper bell icons for a donation of a dollar or more. The goal is to sell 3,000 bells by Oct. 31. The new club building fund budget is set for the establishment of six club locations, and is projected at $12 million, including construction, furnishings, supplies and a one-year period of operating expenses for each of the new clubs. Taco Bell franchisee David Engen will be raising at least $25,000 for the local new club building fund. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Taco Bell "Bells for Kids" program will go directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo and Las Virgenes’ new club building fund. The bells will be displayed in the restaurants with the donor’s name and are available while supplies last. Taco Bell is a corporate partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, focusing on programs designed to support communities and their teenagers by expanding and enhancing the education, vocational and service opportunities for teens in Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation.
