Agoura The loss was $650 after a cell phone and a digital camera were stolen from a business in the 300 block of S. Latigo Canyon Road between noon and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 24. The items were stolen from an unlocked car. Agoura Hills Several storage containers belonging to construction companies were recently burglarized at a synagogue in the 29900 block of Ladyface Circle. There was $520 damage to a lock and storage device on Aug. 29 or 30 when a compressor and chainsaw were stolen (a loss of $1,300). The loss was $330 in damages and $3,350 in loot (a stolen drill and compactor) after a similar incident at the same location during the same time period. Between Aug. 24 and 26 at the same site, plywood valued at $2,000 was stolen. And the total loss (damages and loot) totaled $860 after another storage container was burglarized the night of Aug. 29 and power tools were stolen. The loss was $500 after a convertible top and tire were slashed on Quail Run Drive the night of Aug. 25. Someone has been stealing mail from several commercial boxes in the 28700 block of Roadside Drive between June 1 and Aug. 28. In several instances, checks were altered and fraudulently cashed. A car windshield was smashed ($300 loss) on Forest Cove Lane the night of Aug. 30. A family room window had $250 damage after vandalism between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 5800 block of Capehorn Drive. A "no dumping" sign was stolen from the 30300 block of Canwood Street between 8:24 and 9 a.m. Aug. 23. The sign was valued at $65. Calabasas Prospective homebuyers are possible suspects after jewelry valued at $7,550 was stolen between Aug. 29 and 31 from a Via Verde Court home. Damages to four doors, a glass window and to an antique roll-top secretary totaled $2,535 and a 100-year-old sterling silver handheld mirror, other sterling silver items, blank checks, wine, cognac, brandy and vodka were stolen. The loot (valued at $1,750) was stolen from a Mulholland Highway home between July 19 and Aug. 22. The house had been thoroughly ransacked. Two door jambs of a Wrencrest Drive home had $800 damage and a necklace valued at $1,500 was stolen on Aug. 25 or 26. A DVD player, a VCR, CD player and cash totaling a loss of $900 were stolen from a Calle Cedro home between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 19. A handyman might be a possible suspect. The loss was $900 after a Sony digital camera, its case and charger, and a floppy disc were stolen between 9:20 and 9:23 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 23800 block of Calabasas Road. The victim left the items outside her office door for only about three minutes while she unlocked the door and went inside. A vehicle window was shattered and a briefcase, a digital camera, a tape recorder, a cordless drill and cash were stolen the night of Aug. 31 on Towhee Drive. Total loss: $700. Loot valued at $260 was stolen and damage to a home’s storage facility was $250 after the burglary of a shed between May 20 and July 19 on Mulholland Highway. A construction crew might have been involved. An SUV window was smashed and a briefcase was stolen between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 22800 block of Mulholland Highway. Total loss: $350. A baby stroller valued at $300 was stolen from a front yard on Parkmor Road between Aug. 24 and 30. Westlake/T.O. Sometime before 6 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 600 block of Hampshire Road, unknown suspect(s) pried open a hatchback, crawled into the car and stole a car stereo/CD player valued at $200. Another vehicle break-in occurred before 11:30 p.m. Aug. 28 when burglar(s) broke a window and stole $13 cash and a cell phone charger valued at $38 in the 500 block of Hampshire Road. On Castle View Court, the loss was $1,065 following a vehicle break-in. An in-dash stereo, a CD case and 93 compact discs were stolen. The theft was discovered at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 30. Westlake Village The loss was $5,600 after an oboe, its case and reeds were stolen from a high school on La Tienda Drive on Aug. 28 or 29. A laptop computer valued at $2,200 was stolen from a vehicle at a golf course parking lot in the 4800 block of Lakeview Canyon Road between 3:30 and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 30. There were no signs of forced entry. Between 7:30 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 32000 block of Lindero Canyon Road (near a church), golf balls that were driven from an unknown address caused $1,134 damage to a car (hood dented, windshield smashed). |
