Family walk to be taken in support of breastfeeding

The La Leche League groups of Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks will host a walk promoting breastfeeding at 3 p.m. Sun., Sept. 15 at Oak Canyon Community Park, 5600 Hollytree (off Kanan Road), Oak Park. The family-oriented event will include the walk, a potluck picnic, games plus a silent auction.

La Leche League International is a nonprofit organization that offers breastfeeding education and encouragement through mother-to-mother support groups, telephone counseling and extensive interaction with physicians and health care providers.

Local groups meet monthly in Oak Park and Newbury Park.
