Thousand Oaks DMV office to be open one Saturday morning per month

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office in Thousand Oaks will be among 158 of the largest DMV offices in the state to begin offering Saturday hours once per month.

The inaugural service will be from 8 a.m. to noon on Sat., July 20. Saturday hours will usually be on the third weekend of every month, unless the schedule is adjusted for holidays.

However, the office will now be closed on the Monday preceding the Saturday hours. Also, only during the week immediately preceding the Saturday hours, the DMV office will be open an extra hour Tuesdays through Fridays.

Regular hours at the Thousand Oaks DMV are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays; and 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays.

The Thousand Oaks DMV office, at 1810 Avenida de los Arboles, between Erbes Road and the 23 Freeway, will be closed Mon., July 15 and the following Mondays: Aug. 12, Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 16.

The office will be open 8 a.m. to noon on the following Saturdays: July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 21.
