Eighth-graders in history teacher Kevin Kane’s class at A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas were recently honored for their History Day projects by the Constitutional Rights Foundation.

Students M.G. Gonzalez, Megan Gonzalez, Alice Goldsmith, Nicole Sapiro, Chelsea Harmell, Nadia Vanek and Rachel Saeby were invited by the Foundation to attend its 40th annual spring dinner in the ballroom of the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

In addition, these History Day county finalists were selected to display their History Day projects, "Beatlemania A Revolution in Popular Culture" and "Shakespeare: A Revolution in Literature and Drama" and to discuss with presidential author-historian Michael Beschloss what was required in producing such a high quality research project, according to Kane.
