Free fitness walks offered

Personal fitness consultant Gail Holloway will lead a series of once-monthly fitness walks from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Fridays from June 6 through September 6 on the campus of Soka University, 26800 W. Mulholland Highway, Calabasas.

Additional walk dates are July 5 and Aug. 2. Walks are free but reservations are suggested; call (818) 878-3741.

Holloway, who is a former dancer, has taught ballet, yoga and creative movement classes. She’ll lead a fitness walk that features a moderate hike followed by a 60-minute exercise session.

The latter emphasizes body alignment, deep breathing, stretching and toning. Mats will be provided to participants, who are advised to bring bottled water.
