About five black males ran from a commercial building in the 30400 block of Agoura Road at 10:30 p.m. May 5 when they were observed by a witness. There was evidence of an attempted burglary (a window and four interior doors had $300 damage). The witness saw two suspects wearing black sweat suits and black ski masks who immediately ran from a hallway. He also heard several voices coming from nearby offices. He later saw three more suspects wearing gray sweat suits and black ski masks. Nothing apparently was stolen. The building manager arrived and said that one of the suspects must have had a key to the building.

A diamond ring valued at $2,000 and $1,000 cash were stolen from an unlocked car on Canterbury Street on May 4 or 5.

An unlocked rear sliding window was the apparent entry point fro burglar(s) who stole a laptop computer from a home on Bardell Avenue between 11 a.m. and 11:15 p.m. May 6. The computer was valued at $1,300.

An acid-like substance caused $1,000 damage to the side of a car in the 30100 block of Agoura Road between 3 and 11 p.m. April 30.

Stolen from an unlocked Honda Accord on Canwood Street near Kanan Road were vehicle stereo equipment and music CDs. The $550 loss occurred between April 27 and 30.

Two covers of mailboxes of a commercial building in the 30400 block of Canwood Street were removed between 2 p.m. May 4 and 10 a.m. May 5. Theft of mail could have occurred at 17 mailboxes because of the vandalism and it was initially unknown if any mail was stolen. The damage, however, was $400.

A window was smashed at Willow Elementary School between 11:30 p.m. May 4 and 12:15 a.m. May 5 ($300 damage).

From an unlocked car in the 28000 block of Dorothy Drive, unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet and cash. The $125 loss occurred between 3 and 6 p.m. April 15 and was only recently reported.

Mail was stolen in the 28200 block of Agoura Road between April 27 and 29 The suspect(s) apparently had a master key to the business boxes (no signs of forced entry were observed).

Calabasas

The vinyl rear window of a Mercedes SL500 was cut on Park Sorrento between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. May 4. The damage was $2,000.

The side door to a van was accidentally left open at a Las Virgenes Road apartment complex between 6:30 and 7 p.m. May 8 when a gift certificate, a cell phone, cash and a sports bag were stolen. The total loss was $800.

A sliding glass door of a Parkmor Road home was left unsecured between 2 and 2:20 p.m. May 3 when unknown suspect(s) stole a sewing machine valued at $200.

Oak Park

At 6:30 p.m. April 21 in the 400 block of Lorenzo Drive, a $1,700 loss occurred when unknown suspect(s) stole a video camera. The suspect(s) were working inside the home at the time of the theft.

Sometime before 8:30 a.m. May 1 in the 900 block of Thistlegate Road, vandal(s) sprayed bleach on furniture, causing $4,200 in damages.

At 11 p.m. May 8, a burglary occurred in the 6200 block of Sunnycrest Drive when a wallet/day planner and a 20-dollar-bill were taken by a possibly known suspect. The total loss was $106.

Westlake/T.O.

A theft occurred sometime before 1 p.m. April 25 in the 1400 block of Southwind Circle when unknown suspects stole $8,000 cash from the victim’s home.

Westlake Village

An amplifier valued at $500 was stolen from a business in the 31100 block of Via Colinas between March 5 and April 5. Several people had access to the site during that time.
