Well-known local realtor dies Heather Simms, branch manager for Coldwell Banker Westlake Village Regional Office, passed away Tues., May 7 after a lengthy illness. Simms was with Coldwell Banker for almost a decade and spent the past eight years in the Coldwell Banker Westlake Village Regional Office in The Promenade, where she built and managed a dedicated and professional office and its staff. She served on various committees with both the Conejo Valley and Southland Regional boards of realtors. Simms was known for her outstanding efforts on behalf of her community. She orchestrated fundraising events for Cure Autism Now and for breast cancer research organizations. She was the founder and organizer of the now-annual "Taste of the Promenade" event, which has generated more than $48,000 for the two causes. "Heather was a terrific leader and motivator. She had a vision and shared her passion and commitment with others. She was an inspiration to us all through her own deeds and actions. She will be missed by everyone who worked with her," said Diana Brookes, senior vice president and Northwest regional manager. She shared with her family and children an avid interest in Los Angeles’ sports teams. "Heather was determined," said Scott Gibson, president of Coldwell Banker Greater Los Angeles Company." She truly built the foundation for our Westlake Regional office. She was crucial to the team’s success, both as individuals and as professionals. She was determined and competitive in a way that brought out the best in everybody. We have lost not only a manager, but a leader, a friend and an inspiration to us all." Obituaries RSS feed |
