Hair hacked for hope

HELPING KIDS WHO ARE TAKING CHEMOTHERAPY—Sydney Orenstein, a Round Meadow Elementary School student, 9, holds the 10 inches of her hair that was cut by Veeso Liang of Hair Sanctuary, right. Sydney’s hair will go the City of Hope’s Positive Image campaign, which uses such donations to fabricate hairpieces for children who’ve lost theirs from medical treatments. Sydney’s friend, Nikki Kentor, was also planning to donate her hair this week. For details about the campaign, please call Janine McDonough at (626) 359-8111.
