Artists sought

The Artist-in-the-Classroom program is seeking artists to teach students in grades 1 to 8. Visual artists, musicians, theater specialists and dance educators are needed.

The program offers eight-week residencies to schools throughout Ventura County. Artists are paid $30 per hour. Applicants must have a BA in the arts and teaching experience with students. Visual artists must be exhibiting artists as well.

Artists with knowledge of the Visual and Performance Arts Standards are especially needed.
