Free ‘Small Business Tax Day’ is next week

A "Small Business Tax Day" will be presented free to the public from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thurs., March 21 at the Arboretum of Los Angeles County, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia.

Keynote speaker is the Talk Radio host Mark Rothstein, a certified tax and financial planner.

Topics to be discussed include: record-keeping and reporting requirements; how to prepare a sales tax return; state income tax and small business; new tax law changes; employee or independent contractor; financing your small business; basic I-9 requirements; problem resolution; and the Bad Check Restitution Program.
