Sheriff’s blotter Agoura Hills Sheriff’s blotter Agoura Hills Two circuit breakers valued at $3,400 were stolen from a business in the 5300 block of Derry Avenue between Feb. 20 and 23. A chain-link fence, a fence post and a "no trespassing" sign had $85 damage after vandalism in the 28000 block of Blythe Dale Road between Feb. 15 and 19. Calabasas One water- and three soda-vending machines were vandalized and money was stolen from them at A.E. Wright Middle School the night of Feb. 20. The damage was $8,000 and the cash amounted to $400. At 4:30 p.m. Feb. 20, a black female (5-7 or 5-8 and heavy set, possibly 160-170) was found in the backroom/storage area of a store in the 4700 block of Commons Way. When asked what she was doing there, the subject answered that she was looking for size 10 shoes. The retailer asked her to return to the front area and said she would find shoes in that size. The subject then tried on a pair of size 10 shoes and said they didn’t fit and the subject departed the store. The worker became suspicious and returned to the backroom with another employee and they discovered that a wallet, cash, clothing and credit cards were missing. The loss was $1,874. The suspect had black wavy hair and dark green eyes (possibly contacts) and she was wearing baggy blue jeans, a colored T-shirt and an oversized red/rust jacket. Oak Park Felony grand theft occurred at 10 a.m. on Sun., Feb. 16 in the 1300 block of Lafitte Drive. Jewelry was stolen, including various rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings valued at $15,000 to $20,000. A male transient, 18, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Feb. 23. He had a concealed dagger and was in possession of paraphernalia. The deputy had responded to a domestic disturbance call and found the dagger during a pat-down search. During a search of the suspect’s car, two methamphetamine pipes were found. Westlake/T.O. A female resident of Westlake Village, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana in Thousand Oaks on Feb. 18. The suspect was stopped for speeding on Hillcrest Drive. The officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana just before the suspect handed the officer a marijuana cigarette. At 6:15 p.m. on Wed., Feb. 19 in the 2100 block of Basswood Court, $880 worth of traveler’s checks were stolen; 32 $50 bills; a ring valued at $4,000; prescription glasses valued at $460 and a credit card. The total loss was $6,520. At about 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 21 a vehicle was broken into in the 2800 block of Townsgate Road. Unknown suspect(s) pried into the victim’s vehicle door and stole an in-dash stereo and music CDs. The loss was estimated at $700. Westlake Village A plasma TV and an amplifier totaling $20,200 in value were stolen while they were stored in a garage. The theft occurred on Beachfront Drive between Feb. 20 and 22. An SUV had $250 damage to its rear hatch and a video camera, a suede jacket, sunglasses and cash were stolen. The $2,260 total loss occurred between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m. Feb. 19 at Ridgeford Drive and Lindero Canyon Road. On Royal Glen Road the night of Feb. 24, a couch and two chairs (all three were wicker) were stolen from a front porch. The loss was $2,500. A vehicle window was smashed in the 31100 block of Via Colinas between Feb. 23 and 25. The damage was $300. Police RSS feed |
