Stay-at-home moms have support group, help worthy causes Busy in Oak Park The Oak Park MOMS Club has been a part of the family scene in Oak Park for more than four years, with a roster of more than 55 stay-at-home mothers in their membership, all with children under the age of 4.

A support group, the club offers its members playgroups with children the same age; monthly events for all ages; a Mom’s Night Out once a month without the kids; plus they offer support for new mothers as well as those having financial or personal problems.

In addition, the group is active in fundraising. They’ve made donations to the Oak Park Library Children’s Program as well as The Coalition House for Abused Women and Children in Ventura County.

Fundraising monies are earned through sales of a cookbook that club members put together. In their continuing support of The Coalition House, they hope to sell an additional 150 cookbooks (cost $7 apiece) by the end of May.

The following Oak Park residents comprise the club’s board: Toni Caruso, Molly McCarthy, Juli Harris, Marci Banner, Kristen Fuchs, Beth Sands and Cathy Steiner.
