Noted speaker to talk to students

Milton Creagh, a nationally-known alcohol, drug and violence prevention speaker, will be visiting students and faculty at Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Agoura and Oaks Christian high schools from Feb. 4 through 7. His appearance is sponsored by Community Action Network.

Creagh will address student/faculty assemblies on the following schedule:

Mon., Feb. 4: Westlake High School: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.; Oaks Christian High School: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Agoura High School: 1 to 2 p.m.

Tues., Feb. 5: Thousand Oaks High School: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Wed., Feb. 6: Newbury Park High School: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

In addition, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 6, Creagh will be featured at the Ventura County Youth Leadership Training, sponsored by Community Action Network and Newbury Park High School and open to students in 10th or 11th grade, at Borchard Community Center, Newbury Park.

At 7 p.m. on Feb. 6, "A Reality Check Featuring Milton Creagh" will be presented in the Performing Arts Theatre at Newbury Park High School. Parents, grandparents, educators, coaches, policy makers, AOD prevention works, community leaders, youth pastors or anyone who lives with, works with or cares about teenagers is encouraged to attend this free lecture.
