Alzheimer’s workshop coming to Ventura

The Alzheimer’s Association will present an educational workshop, "A Caregiver’s Workshop: Creating a Partnership with Your Doctor When the Diagnosis is Alzheimer’s Disease or Related Illness," from 1 to 3 p.m. on Mon., Feb. 4 at the Longterm Care Ombudsman Office, 2021 Sperry Ave., Ste. 35, Ventura.

This workshop is informal, interactive and provides participants with a booklet and written materials. It also uses a video to offer insights into the communication challenges experienced by both doctors and caregivers.

Participants receive realistic instructions on how to prepare for and utilize their doctor’s limited time during appointments—in order to provide good care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease.
