Authorship of the Bible to be explored at Academy seminar Guest scholar, a rabbi, will ask on this Sunday,

‘Will the Real Author Please Stand Up?’

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host a seminar titled "Will the Real Author Please Stand Up?" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 3 at Chabad of Oak Park, 5998 Conifer St. The $25 fee includes materials, lunch and refreshments.

Guest scholar Rabbi Eyal Rav-Noy, founder and director of the Institute for Jewish Literacy in Los Angeles, will lead the seminar.

"In a non-dogmatic way, this seminar will demonstrate how it was one—and only one—author who authored the Bible…this seminar will display a unique trail of distinct style, technique and method found through all of the Pentateuch…[it] will uncover the lack of any legitimacy to [scholars’] claims [of multiple authorship] and the mounds of proof for there being ‘fingerprints’ of one sole author throughout the Bible," according to the Conejo Jewish Academy.

Prior reservations are required and may be made by calling (818) 991-0991 or visiting the Web site at www.jewishacademy.com.
