Student attends leadership event

Jason Lindgren of Oak Park is attending the National Young Leaders Conference (NYLC) through Feb. 3 in Washington, D.C.

This is a leadership develop-ment program for high school students who have demonstrated leadership potential and scholastic merit.

He will have the opportunity to interact with key leaders and newsmakers from the three branches of government, the media and the diplomatic corps.

A junior at Oak Park High School, Lindgren is a member of the National Honor Society and the California Scholastic Federation.

A straight-A student, he also is on the varsity cross-country team.
