Agoura resident and retiring Beverly Hills Police Department Officer Bob Halder was recognized for his outstanding service to the department during a VIP (Volunteers in Policing) breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Halder was presented with a plaque in recognition of his 12 years (in a 28-year law enforcement career) of service to the city of Beverly Hills by Chief Marvin Iannone, Captain Frank Salcido and Captain Tony Lee.
"Officer Halder has been the first person people saw or spoke to when entering the police station, and he became a special friend to the many children who visited the BHPD," said Lee. His colleagues agreed that it "will be difficult to replace Halder, who was well suited for his front line responsibilities due to his great disposition and outstanding protocol skills."
