      It apparently was the work of only a prankster fooling around with chalk, but a "white powdery substance" that was thought to be anthrax put Agoura High School officials in a frightened mood last November.

Agoura high school students graduate from fire explorer academy
      Agoura High School students Johnny Boone, Brian Rozzen and Brandon Humes recently graduated from the L.A. County Fire Explorer Academy, after completing six weekends of physical and mental training. They were selected to participate in this program after trying out at the academy. Sixty young adults were chosen from L.A. County to participate in the program and 49 graduated.

WHS remembers car crash victims
      A tree was planted in the Memorial Garden at Westlake High School (WHS) in memory of Jordan Bass and Kenny Glass, two students who died in an automobile accident on Dec. 28.
