Sheriff’s blotter Agoura Hills Sheriff’s blotter Agoura Hills The loss was $2,900 after 18 vehicles had slashed tires on Conejo View Drive between 1 and 8 a.m. Jan. 1. A tote bag containing makeup, clothing, eyewear, cash, gloves and a handbag was stolen ($1,420 loss) from an unlocked pickup at a gas station parking area around 11 a.m. Dec. 31 in the 5000 block of Kanan Road. Between Dec. 20 and Jan. 4, a business door was damaged in the 30100 block of Agoura Road ($150 damage) and a laptop computer valued at $1,000 was stolen. Vandal(s) attacked Agoura High School with graffiti between Dec. 28 and Jan. 2. Several vehicles were also targeted and the loss was estimated at $350. A similar incident occurred between Jan. 5 and 7 and caused another $250 in damages. Calabasas While the victim was cleaning an upstairs bedroom at 9:48 a.m. Jan. 7, she heard a cracking sound from downstairs in her Cangas Drive home. She went downstairs and found a black male (5-9, 200) in his early 20s walking through her living room. The suspect ran when the victim asked, "What are you doing in my house?" A sliding door and locking mechanism had $200 damages. A containment area was set up by deputies after the victim called 911, but it was unsuccessful. Afterward, the victim remembered that prior to the break-in, there had been a knock at the front door, but by the time she had looked to see who it was, that person had departed. She had also seen a dull brown-colored older, boxy vehicle parked at that time across the street, but it was gone when she had recalled seeing it. Between Dec. 29 and 31, an in-dash stereo faceplate and 70 compact music discs were stolen from a vehicle in the 5900 block of Las Virgenes Road. No signs of forced entry were noted in the $900 loss. A guard-shack door was kicked and damaged ($50 loss) in the 3900 block of Old Topanga Road between Dec. 22 and 28. The structure is no longer used and contained no valuables; the incident appeared to be a random act of vandalism. Oak Park A woman’s purse was stolen 9:30 p.m. Jan. 2 from a supermarket in the 600 block of Lindero Canyon Road. The loss was $440 (wallet, checks and currency). Westlake/T.O. The sunroof of a car had $1,000 damage while it was parked outside a bar in the 3800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on Jan. 12 or 13. Six-hundred fifty dollars in goods were stolen from a supermarket in the 2700 block of Agoura Road at. 7:20 p.m. Dec. 17, including roast beef, toilet paper and 110 other items. Someone used unknown chemicals to kill a lawn between Dec. 30 and Jan. 8 in the 2900 block of E. Sierra Drive. Westlake Village A station-wagon window was smashed in the 31300 block of Agoura Road between 1 and 7 p.m. Jan. 8. Damage was $75 but nothingwas stolen. Police RSS feed |
