Motivational speaker, writer to give lecture

Wayne Dyer, Ph.D., a best-selling author and lecturer on motivational topics, will present a lecture from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 6 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel. His lecture is sponsored by the Westlake Church of Religious Science.

Often credited with beginning the self-development movement, Dyer holds a doctorate in counseling psychology from Wayne State University. He's the author of 20 books including his most recent work, "There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem," which will be the subject of his lecture.

Dyer gives practical tips for how people can overcome frustration and negativity and generally achieve happiness.
